       GAME ENDING PROCEDURES

From DMSUA Secretary Chris Brown:

12. TEN-RUN RULE. The ten-run rule will be in effect for all games. After five (5) innings of play, if one team is ten (10) or more runs ahead of its opponent, the game shall be over. (Or if 4 1/2 innings have been completed and the home team is ten or more runs ahead.)

13. FIFTEEN-RUN RULE. By District Executive Committee approval, schools may use the fifteen (15) run rule after three (3) innings of play in district play. In non-district play, mutual consent of both schools is needed.

For all the non district games going on right now I would ask each coach at the plate meeting if they agree to the 15 run rule. If they both agree, UIL states you can play with the 15 run rule. Once district games start you will need to follow the district rules. (the coaches will need to tell us).
